This little educational comic book (and I use the term "comic book" quite loosely here) was produced by the Lufkin Rule Co. in 1949. As a manufacturer of measuring devices, including the all-important tape measure, the folks at Lufkin certainly have an interest in promoting accurate measurement.

But I have to admit, I'm a little skeptical that the story of measurement is indeed amazing.

Important? Certainly.

Interesting? Perhaps.

But amazing? We shall see.
